Beneath the tofu skin

What is a person really like,
beneath the tofu skin,
of cute courtesies and professional looks,
beneath the foundation powder and forced smiles.

If we can really dig through the tofu skin,
to look into a person's heart,
to uncover his hidden thoughts,
to unlock the unspoken words,
to discover his personality... what will we see?

Will we see the black crows of a devil?
Or the white doves of an angel?
Or something more ambiguous? Something indescribable by mere words?

And can we accept it? Or choose not to see. The real state of the human mind...
